Author and Emmy-award-winning reporter Liz Collin joined host Lt. Randy Sutton (ret.) on Blue Lives Radio: The Voice for American Law Enforcement. During the nearly one-hour interview, Liz discussed various aspects of her book They’re Lying: The Media, The Left, and The Death of George Floyd.
Liz explained how the book and her perspective involve more than just being “the wife of a cop.” She talks about how her own career as a news reporter in the Twin Cities and how her own newsroom was involved in the reporting of the death of George Floyd. She also talked about her own experiences and getting cancelled, receiving bomb threats in the mail, and trying to deal with the aftermath of the riots (aka, the so-called “peaceful protests” that took place in Minneapolis and around the nation).
The episode is titled The True Story on George Floyd and the Burning of America. Given Randy’s extensive background in law enforcement, the episode covers many aspects of the George Floyd incident and law enforcement perspectives that are rarely discussed—including Randy’s insights about “saving lives and saving careers.” As Randy mentioned, this incident changed policing in America and public perceptions about police officers as well.
Liz’s book is available on Amazon in paperback, hardcover, and as a Kindle eBook for immediate download. The book is also available on Barnes & Noble.
